Journalist, author, broadcaster and friend of the show Kevin Le Gendre is back to sit in for Soweto all this week on 'Round Midnight.
From Monday to Thursday, leading British-Bahraini trumpeter Yazz Ahmed is Kevin's guest. Widely celebrated for her creative and explorative compositions, Yazz鈥檚 new album A Paradise In The Hold arrives next month, and Kevin will be sharing an exclusive first play from the record on tonight鈥檚 show.
All this week Yazz will be sharing some of the albums that have resonated with her most, in a feature called 4/4. Her first choice is by the great Kenny Wheeler.
Plus, there's music from Jelly Roll Morton, Tara Cunningham, Catriona Bourne and last week鈥檚 featured guest, Xhosa Cole.
