Taking a different theme each week, Guy celebrates some of jazz's finest exponents and sounds the trumpet for virtuoso performers in his own field. He also looks at the art of arranging; jazz on the silver screen; and influential record labels.

In the second programme of the series, Trumpet Masters, Guy looks at virtuoso performers including Louis Armstrong, Clifford Brown, Freddie Hubbard, Miles Davis, Chet Baker and Rex Stewart.
