Due to Roddy’s heart failure diagnosis he needs to change his diet. The Mediterranean and Japanese diets are renowned for their heart health and long lifespans. The lads take inspiration from these to create heart healthy recipes.

Uisdean heads to Japan to make a pork loin teriyaki with dashi infused spinach and gohan rice, Roddy tackles a Mediterranean influenced salmon tray bake with pesto and baby roast potatoes. Also on Roddy’s menu is harissa pilchards with green beans and salsa verde. Meanwhile Uisdean cooks a Catalan style cod with red pepper and tomato sauce, tapenade and saffron potatoes
