Wolsingham 4
Indulge in nostalgia as Eric visits a replica 1950s town in the north east of England and reminisces about toys from his childhood.
Relive your childhood by joining Eric Knowles for a trip down memory lane to the high street of the 1950s. At Beamish Museum, Eric visits a town with replicas of shops once found in the north east of England and gets a treat when he sees a treasure trove of toys from when he was a boy.
Nostalgia is on the teams’ minds too as they shop for bargains at Wolsingham antiques and salvage fair. Irita Marriott’s memory is stirred when she spots two old milk churns, but her blue team, pals Michael and George, aren’t moo-ved by them. Meanwhile, the reds, friends Louise and Luanne, have an eye for pairs. Guided by Colin Young, they ponder two eagle sculptures, then two cast-iron garden planters, but the hefty price tags spell double trouble.
Eric travels to east Yorkshire to meet auctioneer Caroline Hawley for the sale – but which team will come out on top?
