At the zenith of his career, he was described as the third most powerful figure in Cuba after the Castro brothers. HARDtalk speaks to Ricardo Alarcon who, until last year, was president of Cuba's parliament, the National Assembly. A veteran on the political and diplomatic scene, he's a former foreign minister and long-time ambassador for Cuba to the United Nations. He still wields a great deal of influence and now spends most of his time campaigning for the release of three Cubans jailed in the US for spying. Isn't it time the US and Cuba buried the hatchet and normalised relations?
