Rajan Datar will find out how much safer Tbilisi has become as a nightlife destination, since Saakashvili's dramatic police corruption crackdown in 2005. He'll find out how the country's rappers are finding inspiration from the region's politics. From there, we take one of the irregular, unreliable flights up to the mountain city of Mestia. Mestia lies in Svaneti, which up until a few years ago was notorious for its lawlessness and banditry. Now, with new roads and a brand new airport, it's becoming a popular destination for hikers and skiiers. Rajan will go on the beat with a policeman there to see if banditry is still a problem in such a remote location. From there, it's a four hour drive to Europe's highest populated settlement where Rajan will try his hand at traditional polyphonic singing. Then he'll fly down to the coast via a call-and-collect Georgian Air Force Service, where he'll explore the resort city of Batumi, which styles itself as a Las Vegas of the Caucasus. We'll join a traditional Georgian wedding and find out why it's been called 'The City of Love'.
