As the Baton travels through the Pacific Islands, we hear how sporting ambition and success offer the chance for island communities to make an impact on the international stage.

On this stage of the Queen's Baton Relay, the Baton travels through some of the most remote countries and communities in the world as part of its journey round the Commonwealth, before its arrival in Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games this July. Adventurer Mark Beaumont is travelling with the Baton and on the way meets the characters and communities that make up the modern Commonwealth. On this programme the Baton continues its journey through the exotic Pacific Islands and hears how sporting ambition and success is one way for small island communities to make an impact on the international stage. He also goes giant crab hunting and discovers how one island has to have all their Christmas presents and food delivered by ship weather permitting. Mark then follows the Baton's journey to a new continent as it commences the African leg of its journey, starting in Sierra Leone.
