This month Talking Movies reports from the Human Rights Watch Film Festival - one of the world's most influential showcases for human rights movies. The programme will report on different kinds of human rights films - from those which name and shame specific human rights violators to others that expose an aspect of human rights of which little is known. Among the films covered are those dealing with the controversial issue of unarmed African American men being shot by the police to the plight of women in Iran who are forbidden to sing in public.
