Blind Blake
Few musicians achieve wealth and fame by playing in market places and the lobbies of hotels. But Blind Blake from the Bahamas became a local celebrity by entertaining visiting millionaires and royalty in some of the islands' loucher venues. Although he died in 1985, Blind Blake is still held in affection for songs which chronicled Bahamian life and are now compiled in a new CD.
