Catch-up: 14 December

As Janine gets closer to Archie, Billy discovers their wicked plan, Masood frets as Zainab and Amira make extravagant wedding plans, and Bianca gives evidence at Tony's trial.

Janine wants to move in to Number 27, but Archie tells her they have to keep their engagement quiet until Jane’s back with Ian - the recording of Ian and Janine is worthless unless Ian has something serious to lose. Janine pays someone to speak to Jane.

Janine starts to doubt that Archie wants to marry her – after all they haven’t even slept together yet. Janine returns to her flat, Ryan’s not fooled when she claims she’s chosen him. Archie phones her.

Billy’s trapped and is forced to hide when Janine and Archie return home and have sex on the sofa. He overhears them discussing the plan to throw the Mitchells out of the Vic.

Without Jane, Ian’s struggling to look after the family. After Janine’s warning that Ian won’t be single for long, Lucy gives Ian Jane’s address. Ian asks Jane to come home, she tells him nothing’s changed and he leaves upset. Bobby goes missing from school.

Masood’s trying to economise on wedding costs, but Zainab wants everything to be perfect.

Max is miserable and snaps at Abi. Ian and Max realise they are in the same boat – no wives. Ian tells Max he can’t give up and starts clearing up the house.

Phil takes Max’s car keys. Max later gives Phil some of the cash he owes. Shirley shouts at Max in the Vic, telling everyone about his insurance scams. Max tries to apologise to Heather, but Shirley tells him to get out.

Jay’s collected some mistletoe for Billy to sell on the stall but Mo sets up in competition, selling plastic mistletoe. Honey’s decided that Billy can’t see Janet and William over Christmas. Peggy returns home; Phil’s forced to tell her about Ian’s loan.

It’s Bianca’s turn to give evidence in Tony’s trial.
