Belgian lawmakers are today debating whether to make it illegal to wear Islamic veils such as the burqa. The move seems to have strong cross-party support and it seems that France could follow suit. Muslim organisations and some human rights bodies have criticised the idea but the bill's supporters believe that it is a necessary security measure. What do you think? Should veils be banned?
