As the biggest ever project undertaken by DIY SOS comes to an end in Chippenham, we talked to Shaun, one of the local builders about his feelings on getting involved in such a special project.

Three years ago Alfie Bridges from Chippenham was born with a rare genetic condition. Known as Mitochondrial Complex Three disorder it can cause organ failure. Alfie fought the condition for two and a half years before sadly passing away in January this year. This weekend his mum Lindsey is holding a fundraising event in the town to raise money for research and also to raise awareness about the illness. We spoke to Lindsey about how she's turning her son's death into doing something positive for the future. The event is Saturday night (8th May) at 7pm at the Fortune Inn on Sheldon Road in Chippenham.
