The Politics Show East - Labour elects new leader

Ed Miliband won the Labour leadership ballot by the narrowest of margins, beating his older brother, David, to the big prize. The east's Labour MEP, Richard Howitt, along with Labour's council leaders in Norwich and Stevenage and many other party members, voted for David Miliband, believing that he would garner more support for the party in the eastern counties. Although the party is now pledging to unite behind Ed Miliband opinion across the region was divided on the result of the contest, as we found out.
