The building of Llety

The tyddyn had to look and behave exactly as the original tyddyn – so it also had a working range and chimney, plus cow-shed, privy and store-rooms. This was a taller building as it had a ‘crogloft’ for extra sleeping space. Instead of stone walls and a slate roof, an artistic team fixed textured materials to the walls, and painted the roof so it looked completely authentic.
