The Two Wills visit Clantiboyes Farm
The two Wills head to Galloway to meet folk with an accent and language very like our own. First stop is the Clantiboyes farm owned by Lindsay Galloway where it’s Ewe Hog Clipping Day.
Down at the sheep-shearing, Lindsay’s son, Ian, tells them how the process works. They talk about ‘Galloway Irish’ and the similarities in language resulting from the to-ing and fro-ing across the sheugh - and how English speakers sometimes get confused… (Broadcast: 11/09/2005)
