Charity faces closure before Christmas, due to falling donations

Northants based Safewings, which cares for injured birds, says that the recession has meant falling donations. It needs to replace a number of aviaries in order to survive and is appealing for help.

It needs to replace a number of aviaries in order to survive and is appealing for help.

The charity was founded in Isham in 1966, it works across 6 counties and has nursed thousands of injured birds back to health.

Officials at the organisation say that it'll shut down, before Christmas, unless more money is donated.
