Friends of murdered teenager launch anti-knife campaign

Friends of 16-year-old Adil Basharat who was killed outside his Kingsbrooke School in Deanshanger last month, have started an anti-knife crime campaign.

Adil Basharat died as a result of a single stab wound he received outside Kingsbrook school in the South Northamptonshire village of Deanshanger last month.

Four men have been charged with his murder, a fifth has been arrested and released on bail pending further enquiries.

As part of the campaign, a fund has been set up which will pay for knife bins where teenagers can get rid of unwanted weapons.

The schame is called 'Adil Ideal' and details of the first fund-raiser will be announced in the next few weeks.
