Yuri Gagarin answers questions at a press conference on his visit to Britain in July 1961. His answers are translated into English by Boris Belitsky of Radio Moscow. Gagarin became a worldwide celebrity but never returned to space. From 1962 he served as deputy to the Supreme Soviet and was deputy director of cosmonaut training until his death during a training flight in March 1968.
