Alan presents this edition from the Hampton Court Flower Show. He marvels at many of the exhibition's gardens, and we get to preview national collections of water lilies and malmaison carnations.

Alan Titchmarsh presents this edition from the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show. He explores a host of panoramic attractions including the Anglo Aquarium Plant Company's Re-Cycle Garden, Action Research's Jump for Joy Garden and the Green Garden, designed by pupils of Westborough Primary School, Essex, who were winners of a school gardening competition run by the RHS and the Daily Mirror.Gay Search also goes on a tour of the flower show's featured gardens. He visits the Town Waterfront Garden, designed by Cleve West and Johnny Woodford, the Lakeside Romantic Garden, designed by Pantiles Plant and Garden Centre, and also the Good Ideas Garden, designed by Sainsburys Homebase. Gay also manages to find the time to take a peek at the winning entries of the Daily Mail's patio competition.Also featuring in the programme are previews of national collections of both water lilies and malmaison carnations. Alan talks to Jim Marshall who rescued the malmaison carnation species from near extinction, by managing to create a national collection from just three surviving plants. Plus, Gay speaks to Maureen Lipman about a rose variety that has been named after her.
