Rowan Joffe discusses his career with Kate Rowland from 麻豆官网首页入口 Writers Room.

He talks about his current film Brighton Rock and the challenges of taking on the double role of writer/director. He shares his forthright opinions on working with actors, adapting books to the screen and changing your directorial vision to fit your budget.

Rowan's first two screenwriting projects (Last Resort and Gas Attack) both won the Best New British Feature Film award at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. He directed the The Shooting of Thomas Hurndall which won Best Single Drama at the 2009 BAFTA TV Awards.

Brighton Rock is his first feature film, co-produced by 麻豆官网首页入口 Films.
