What would you give up to pay for extra police?
Stuart Linnell sits in and says large numbers of police on the streets appears to have dealt with the problem of rioting and looting. So what would you give up to maintain that presence?
Increasing police numbers on the streets appears to have been effective in bringing a halt to the rioting and looting of recent days.
However, the police service is facing cuts so, to maintain a high profile police presence, money would have to be found from somewhere. To pay for it, would you be prepared to give up your free bus pass, your winter fuel payment or your child benefit?
Each is available to people whether they need it or not. So would you give up your bus pass, Winter Fuel Payment or Child Benefit - or is there somthing else we should sacrifice to ensure the places where we live and work are ssfer?
