Daniel Tammet: ‘Mathematics is the science of imagination’
Autistic savant Daniel Tammet speaks to More or Less presenter Tim Harford about his new book, Thinking in Numbers, in which he discusses the beauty of numbers and how mathematics can help us appreciate the world around us. For Tammet, whose genius for maths was misunderstood as a child, his ability with numbers is something that he has harnessed to help him gain the practical and social skills to communicate his passion for maths.
