Pupils compete to become the school monitor in a Chinese school
Three pupils compete to see who should be the school monitor, similar to a senior prefect. All are keen to align themselves with the Chinese ruling ethic. The pupils are encouraged to think carefully about who would be the best monitor, and a secret ballot is taken. One of the unlucky candidates discusses how she feels about losing.
