Still trapped in Brian's cellar, Hazel tries to convince him people will know she is missing as she has been gone a w eek, and will be searching for her. Brian scuppers her hopes by telling her he has been texting her friends telling then all different stories about her whereabouts to stop them worrying. Hazel begins to lose hope - realising no-one suspects anything is amiss. Brian then frightens her even more by hinting that he is waiting for her to die. He reassures her she will just slip away - and he will join her soon after. Hazel is petrified as she realises his twisted fantasies could have fatal consequences.Billy and Alice are embarrassed about their increasing closeness and he attempts to assure her not to read anything into it. She laughs it off - it was nothing! Billy continues in his attempt to convince Della to take him back, and tries to appease his displeasure that he is staying at Alice's by assuring her he just needs the bed.At the Henderson's Moira asks George if he would like for them to renew their vows. George is unsure – but knows that no matter what they will grow old together. Both of them are happy with the fresh start they havemade together.Vinnie examines Scarlett who pretends that she got her facial injuries from falling on some ice - Kelly Marie interjects that it was Paddy that hit her. Vinnie offers advice - if Scarlett needs somewhere to go there are refuges available. Scarlett refuses and is adamant she doesn't w ant anyone knowing her business.After disposing of Hazel's mobile phone under the watchful eye of Vader, Brian returns home, empties a bottle of pills and begins to take them. Moira interrupts him and tries to talk sense into him. As he leaves mentioning Hazel, Moira follows. Brian goes to Della's car outside the salon and convinces Moira he will talk to her if she sits inside with him. Moira agrees but grows increasingly frightened as Brian locks her inside. He begins to talk of his death and of Hazel - telling his gran that he knows she is on her way to a better place. Brian starts up the car and drives erratically down Montego Street. George sees the car and Moira inside - but can't help her escape. Brian drives towards Lewis's construction yard, smashing through the fence and into a stock of gas canisters. Brian escapes but as the car is blown up, Moira is still inside and George's desperate screams echo around Shieldinch and he watches his beloved wife perish.
