My identity - life as a Victorian child
Schoolgirl Martha lives near the Ironbridge Gorge Museum in Shropshire and spends her weekends being one of the Victorian street kids there. She compares her own life with that of a Victorian child. Martha describes the Ironbridge and its importance to the area near Telford. She introduces her family and explains how her main hobbies are judo and acting, which is why she enjoys being one of the street kids. They sell newspapers, make bricks and enjoy the experience of being a student at a Victorian school. At her own primary school, she joins in a discussion about aspects of identity, for example, appearance, hobbies and where you live.
