Kaajel Patel, a 20-year-old art student from Leicester, travels to Mumbai in South India. Kaajel meets eight year old Afsha's family and visits her at home. Then she goes to an acting school in Mumbai's biggest slum and talks to Baburao Laasaheb who runs it and joins in the dancing with his young performers. In contrast, her meeting with 15-year-old Ulka Gupti, who is a familiar face to Indian audiences, makes her think about the meaning of fame and success.
