How does sound travel through liquid?
Sound travels through liquids as well as through the air - as demonstrated by a team of synchronised swimmers. We learn how sound is transmitted through the particles in the water in the same way as it is in the air. The synchronised swimmers have no difficulty in hearing the music for their routine from a special underwater speaker.
