Controversial walking tours of Lozells and East Handsworth are awarded lottery funding
Walking tours of two of the most deprived areas in Birmingham have been granted 拢38,000 of Lottery funding which has caused much controversy.
Tourists can now get an insight into the industrial roots of Lozells and East Handsworth, which are more often linked with rioting and crime than cultural enrichment.
The plans for the guided tours have recently come under attack from MP Khalid Mahmood, who believes the money could be better spent.
