Lloyd George Funeral 1945
Short film showing the funeral procession of Welsh Liberal politician David Lloyd George in March 1945 on the banks of the River Dwyfor, near to his boyhood home in Llanystumdwy, north Wales. Lloyd George, British leader at the end of the First World War, was the only Welshmen thus far to reach the office of British Prime Minister. Followed by an extract from a 1971 interview with his second wife and widow Frances where she attempts to sum up his character and political achievements.
