On the 100th anniversary of the death of Emily Wilding Davison at the Derby, we look into her life and times. Who she was, what she did and why and whether she meant to die? We’ll hear eye witness testimony from the day and look at some of the other sporting events and arenas the Suffrages targeted as part of their political goals.

Guest include Lauren Caisley relative of Emily Davison, Helen Pankhurst great granddaughter of Suffragette leader Emmeline Pankhurst, Penni Blythe-Jones from Emily Inspires programme and authors Maureen Howes and Colin Brown. All have written extensively on the various aspects of the event.
