A Radio Ulster Broadcast Appeal on behalf of Meningitis Research Foundation
The Meningitis Research Foundation鈥檚 Belfast office was established in 1992 to promote local awareness of meningitis and septicaemia. On average, one person per week here in Northern Ireland will contract meningitis and/or septicaemia. These are potentially deadly diseases that can affect anyone of any age without warning. Babies and young children are most at risk, and the disease can claim the life of an otherwise healthy individual in a few hours.
