Why artists are invited to paint art on a Moroccan town鈥檚 walls
Once a year, artists from around the world descend on the small Moroccan town of Asilah to create works of art on its whitewashed walls.
Walls, doors, schools and even pavements can be painted in the week-long event and artists are free to follow their own creative instincts.
The event began 35 years ago when the mayor of Asilah decided he wanted to make the town more beautiful.
