Kate hopes to inspire the families by taking them on a visit to some of the most energy efficient homes in the country - Dormont Housing estate in Lockerbie. These are passive houses, ultra-low-energy buildings that are super-insulated and require very little energy to heat. Thomas Froehlich, who helped build the houses, reveals how they work and one of the residents, Rosie, invites the families into her home to explain what it鈥檚 like to live there.
