'Gay visitors welcome' in Singapore, despite legal ban
Homosexuality is illegal in Singapore, but Lionel Yeo of the country's tourism board says gay visitors are welcome and there are no issues about same sex couples sharing a room. He told Fast Track's Rajan Datar that the law banning homosexuality was not being enforced.
But while homosexuality is illegal, prostitution is not. Rajan takes a night time tour of the Geylang district described as seedy, edgy, spiritual and authentic all at the same time.
