The Story of Pan's People: Why Babs, Cherry, Dee Dee & Ruth were top of the pops

When Top of the Pops began in the sixties, it brought some of the biggest names in music into people's living rooms.

It made stars of its in house dance troupe, Pan's People.

In an era before music videos, the dancers were hired to fill in for absent bands but in the process the six members of Pan's People became better known than many of the records they danced to.

Bill and Susanna chatted to original members Babs Powell, Dee Dee Wilde and Ruth Pearson.

The book Pan's People: Our Story is available now.
