In Germany, a young boy called Timo and his mother come to terms with the loss of a father and husband. Timo鈥檚 dad was a fantasy author and it is fantasy that saves the day of Timo鈥檚 birthday party when he encounters the magical Loona Balloona. She helps Timo tidy the apartment he shares with a mother who has withdrawn from the world and become chaotic and untidy. Loona Balloona not only gets practical things done, but also sets both child and grown-up back on the right track 鈥� and Timo receives a birthday present that reassures him that, despite their loss, life can go on.
