Reporting Africa
Producer Mary Morgan explains the decisions behind the debate programme looking at immigration and Africans in the UK.
Africa has been dominating the airwaves with extensive coverage from South Africa, following the death of Nelson Mandela – but a listener asks why did the Africa Debate record its latest programme in Slough, in the UK? Pooneh Ghoddoosi hears from Africa Debate producer Mary Morgan that as the programme’s subject was about the treatment of Africans in the UK it was appropriate to make an exception to the programme’s promise that if matters to Africa it will be debated in Africa. Plus, as the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú launches four language websites for journalists making available its house style, we hear what this means to journalists and listeners.
