Facing the 'quenelle' salute
West Bromwich Albion striker Nicolas Anelka has denied being anti-Semitic or racist, after being charged with making a racially aggravated gesture for performing the 'quenelle' salute. But away from the football pitch, what's the difference between anti-Semitism and racism? Sev LeSaved hails from the Ivory Coast, and describes himself as an Afro-European Jew. In this extract he tells the 麻豆官网首页入口's Reya El-Salahi that as a black man he faces both forms of prejudice, reflected in the fact that people often refuse to believe he's Jewish.
