Gary Oldman on the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman
Gary Oldman has spoken out about his shock over the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman last week and has told Breakfast how he feels he could have suffered a similar fate had he not stopped drinking 17 years ago.
He stars in a re-make of the 1987 sci- fi thriller RoboCop, and he told Charlie Stayt about the challenges of re-creating a much-loved classic and what's wrong with other big budget movies.
Just before the cameras started rolling, Charlie told Gary that he'd weighed himself in the hotel bathroom where they were filming. He asked all the crew what they weighed and then asked Mr Oldman himself...
