There have been more newspaper claims over the weekend about a so-called 'Operation Trojan Horse' plot by radical Muslims to take over a group of inner city schools in Birmingham.

The original claims alleged there was a plot to oust some Birmingham head teachers and make their schools adhere to more Islamic principles. A letter detailing the plan, claims responsibility for leadership changes at four schools. These schools are Adderley Primary School, Saltley School, Park View School and Regents Park Community Primary School.

It has been reported one of the schools at the centre of the controversy, Park View School in Alum Rock, has been put into special measures by education watchdog Ofsted. The Sunday Telegraph also reported Park View spent more than 拢70,000 on loud hailers to call pupils to prayer even though it is a non-faith school.

Adrian Goldberg spoke to Tahir Alam, chair of governors of Park View Education Trust which runs the schools, about the claims all its schools being subject to snap inspections by the Department for Education.
