"I was told I was too dark to make it"

Following Lenny Henry's call for action to tackle the lack of black and Asian people on TV, Jamelia has been talking about being one of few dark-skinned women on daytime television. The singer-turned-TV-personality says that as a teenager she was told she was too dark to make it.
