An all-star cast will be taking over a Birmingham stage appearing in a new play called Khandan (family). Written by award winning playwright Gurpreet Kaur Bhatti, the play is about family life and business. The playwright has written for Eastenders and she made national headlines when her production of Behzti at The Birmingham Rep was closed just a week after opening when violence erupted among protesters gathered around the theatre, and she received death threats.

Set in a Punjabi household, Actor Rez Kempton performs alongside Sudha Buchar, Priya Khalidas and more. In this extract he tells 麻豆官网首页入口 WM's Midlands Masala that this play can appeal to all.

*Khandan is at The Birmingham Rep from 22nd May to the 7th June and then at The Royal Court from 11th to 28th June.
