African-inspired fashion "makes me cringe"
Big, bold, African-inspired (so-called) tribal prints are a top trend this summer. But giving the continent the recognition it deserves for inspiring fashion is the driving force behind a Zimbabwean-born Nottingham student's latest project. Alongside studying Fashion Accessory Design at Nottingham Trent University, Pamela Samasuwo-Nyawir is the brains behind a new scheme training upcoming designers across Africa.
