Commonwealth Games goes virtual
For the first time, a major sporting event is being streamed live to a virtual reality headset.
At the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, a 360 degree camera captures video and sound from the gymnastic competitions and sends it in real-time, over the internet, to a headset located in the Glasgow Science Centre.
Two screens and motion sensors in the headset help create the illusion that the wearer is in the crowd watching the competition. 麻豆官网首页入口
