Instagram's Hyperlapse app: The future of smartphone video?
Photo and video-sharing service Instagram has developed an app that allows users to create their own timelapse videos.
The Hyperlapse app allows users to speed up videos taken on their smartphone, analysing the footage to create a more steady picture.
By using a phone's built-in gyroscope and removing any frames in which the camera jolts, the app is able to develop a smoother end result.
