Why are the Danes the happiest?
Since the 1970s surveys have consistently shown that Danish people are among the most happy in the world.
And in 2013 when the UN released their first World Happiness Report it was no surprise that Denmark registered the highest life satisfaction scores of all countries.
While some say Danish happiness could be attributed to appreciating the simple things in life, research also suggests their happiness could be down to genetics.
