Derek Roulston is a farmer from County Donegal. For the last twelve years he and his wife Linda, have been working with the Presbyterian Church in Ireland’s Mission Overseas to help potato farmers in Kenya. Along with other farming experts and the local churches in the Galana area of Kenya, he founded the Wheat Foundation – Working to improve Health, Education, Agriculture and The Environment. This outreach through rural development programme has given the local community many reasons to celebrate harvest.

Claire McCullum comes to Kenya to have a first hand look at the Seed Potatoes programme and talks to one of the farmers who have benefited.
