Woodbridge, Suffolk: Framlingham Memorial

On 5 August 1914 the men of Framlingham and close surrounding villages marched to war.

Many would never return.

Those who lost their lives were remembered on the village war memorial, but 20 were missing. The unknown 20, the forgotten 20 – until now.

After five years of research, Framlingham resident Evelyn Empson has found the missing 20, and now the village war memorial is able to tell the full story of the men who marched to war, never to return.

Location: Framlingham, Woodbridge, Suffolk IP13 9BJ
