Jamaican Alia Atkinson hopes her recent success could have a significant impact on the sports global appeal.

Following her recent world record win in the one hundred metres breastroke at the World Shortcourse Championships in Doha she is now Jamaica's first World Champion in the Swimming pool, and the first Black Woman in the sport's history to win a world title:
