Jones: Creating a mood music which vilifies business

Lord Digby Jones said parties needed to realise it was private businesses that created jobs and the taxes to fund public sector spending.

He claimed politicians were 鈥渃reating a mood music which vilifies business鈥 and called on Ed Balls to "stop the hypocrisy".

The cross bench peer debated with Labour鈥檚 Luciana Berger who said the biggest issue for small businesses she represented was the lack of access to finance.

They were speaking to Jo Coburn about the criticism of Labour from Boots boss Stefano Pessina who suggested Labour's policies could be a "catastrophe".
